Set your Hage spawn, inspect Inventory for a whole Crystal Mana, and follow the opening-reward or code branch below before paying for travel. Once one whole crystal is confirmed, visit Grimoire Tower and learn the first usable book. Then track Tony’s three-bandit quest and your next level-appropriate task. Normal Spins, fragments and notifiers are not interchangeable with a tower crystal.
Before the tower: find your first whole Crystal Mana
Check the resource before buying travel or trying to reroll. The tower recording spends one item named Crystal Mana; ordinary Spins and a Crystal Notifier are different rewards. The following is a free opening checklist with branches, not a promise that every current account receives the same starter chest.

A short route you can actually finish
These are useful early checkpoints, not a claim that every new account receives the same tutorial in the same order. If a current tutorial gate appears, complete that gate before continuing.

PC controls for the next step
These controls appear in the inspected PC HUD and hub reference. A book’s skill bindings are listed separately on its own guide. Mobile prompts can differ.
| Action | PC control | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Move / sprint | W A S D / Shift | Travel and repositioning |
| Interact / menu | E / M | Use nearby prompts and open menus |
| Broom | H, after unlocking | Spawn or use the broom; follow the current Fly prompt |
| Shift-lock | Ctrl | Adjust camera control |
Find an early quest by NPC and level
Choose a quest you can finish, press Track and accept the task at the NPC. Watch its objective counter, then return to the quest giver or follow the completion prompt. If you want to repeat it, check whether the NPC offers it again rather than assuming the reward repeats automatically.
| Quest | NPC | Level shown |
|---|---|---|
| Bandits in Hage | Tony | 1 |
| Potatoes for Lily | Lily | 3 |
| Bandits in the Woods | Woodsman Orin | 4 |
| Firewood for the Church | Lumberjack | 4 |
| Bandits at the Quarry | Quarry Warden Greta | 7 |
| Forest Boars | Farmer | 10 |
| Learning to Fly | Broom Master Elsie | 11 |

Use a visible quest objective, not guesswork
Tony’s quest is a concrete starting point: the inspected screen places him next to the bandit field and shows a three-bandit objective. Accept the quest before fighting so you can watch its counter change.
Use one short quest to learn your basic attacks, range and resource use. If you struggle, improve how consistently you finish it before using a random reroll as the solution. The reward amounts on another player’s screen can include bonuses, so compare your own displayed reward.
Spins and crystals do different jobs
You can inspect the three character-roll categories through the Hage Priest. They do not replace the Grimoire Tower system. The Mana Crystal guide explains the difference and acquisition options.
| Resource | Where it goes | What to check first |
|---|---|---|
| Spins | Race, Social Class and Trait rolls | Select the correct category before spending. |
| Crystal Mana / Mana Crystal | Grimoire Tower | One crystal is shown as the cost for a tower roll in October 17 footage. |
| Yuls | Shops and travel services | Read the price on your own account; filmed prices may include modifiers. |
Buy for the next task
The Starter Shop screen contains a Wood sword, Uncommon Bait and a Fishing Rod. If your immediate plan is quest combat, buying fishing supplies will not solve your current fight. If you want a fishing and crafting session, remember to check both the rod and bait.
The source recording has a large shop-price modifier. We use the screenshot to identify the stock, not to advertise those displayed prices as normal prices for every player.
Keep your build decisions together
The inspected Profile screen separates Strength, Stamina, Gun, Power, Sword and Health. That is a reason to read your own skill requirements before allocating points: a point in one category is not automatically useful to another weapon or ability.
Write down your current book and passive choices in the build planner. Change one thing at a time when comparing results. It is easier to judge an upgrade when you repeat the same quest instead of comparing completely different encounters.
Give your next session a clear finish line
- Need more resources? Check the reward checklist before farming.
- Ready to travel? Find Broom Master Elsie through the broom quest tracker guide.
- Want a better outfit? Choose a boss reward instead of fighting whichever boss is closest.
- Working toward the current book? Read the Blood Grimoire guide and its skill screen.
Match a gathering tool to its task
| Tool | Reported route | What to inspect |
|---|---|---|
| Rake | Lily’s potato quest | Read the quest reward and harvesting prompt. |
| Axe | The lumberjack quest | Track the task and check the current completion reward. |
| Pickaxe | Pip is named in the tools walkthrough | Find the NPC in your current tracker; no fixed current level is established. |
| Fishing Rod | Starter Shop or Craft → Tools | Prepare bait as well as the rod. |
Rake, Axe and Pickaxe routes are third-party reports from the linked tools walkthrough; Fishing Rod stock and recipe have separately reviewed video screens.
Questions players ask
How do I get my first Grimoire without buying crystals?
Inspect Inventory and the actual tutorial/opening reward first. A community launch guide reports a supplied Normal Chest leading to a Medium Chest and a crystal, but this is not independently verified for current fresh accounts. Check developer-listed code rewards, confirm a whole Crystal Mana and inspect the tower Read cost. World pickups and eligible crafting are alternatives, not guaranteed instant level-one routes.
Should I reroll until I get the rarest race before playing?
A rare race is not necessary to start the illustrated Hage route. Choose a resource budget, learn your current setup and spend when you know what you want to improve.
Why does my quest give a different amount of EXP?
The footage belongs to another account and an older game build. Account bonuses and updates can change the displayed amount. Use the reward shown on your own quest panel.
Where do I find the broom quest?
The October 3 Quests / Npcs menu lists Learning to Fly under Broom Master Elsie, with a level 11 requirement and a Track button. Our broom guide shows that exact screen.
